The City is a brand-new edition in NBA 2K21 on next-gen

  • NBA 2K21 MT images get a facelift in its own next-gen version. Already regarded for its high-level diversion of the NBA's biggest stars, there's a noticeable step up in quality. The lighting is better, along with the faces look a lot more lifelike. Some of the personalities in cutscenes still look somewhat rough, but the players themselves seem better than ever. As far as mechanics, 2K21 doesn't reinvent the wheel using its next-gen version. However, the developers used this opportunity to add some more unique animations to the game. This includes some new cartoons for alley-oops, which can be extremely satisfying to pull off. I also felt like dribbling and ball motion proved only easier overall when playing Xbox collection X.

But when coming out of high school, players can decide to take the traditional path to the NBA and go to college, or enter the G League. While faculty will offer the players with more exposure and fans, the G League will help them hone their skills faster, with greater progress on badges and skills.

More ways to become an NBA2K21 celebrity

2K21 also fixes a few of the frustrating issues I brought up in my own review, as players are now able to change the camera angle at high school, faculty, and also the G League. Despite some solid adjustments and additions, MyCareer nevertheless feels unbelievably grindy. VC is difficult to find unless you ditch a part-time job's worth of hours into the match, or crack open your wallet. Players may now hop in the W, a style that allows them create their own WNBA celebrity. It is an awesome piece of representation to an often ignored basketball league, although the mode isn't nearly as fleshed out as 2K21's other core modes.

The City is a brand-new edition in NBA 2K21 on next-gen. Composed of a lot of smaller parks and regions, The City is almost a huge version of The Neighborhood. There are far more courts, which is fine, but the pros stop there. You still have to purchase a chunk for 25k VC simply to play with friends on a personal court, and the servers are still really shoddy. Buy 2K MT on next-gen sees a great deal of developments to the basketball sim, but paradoxically only improves the regions of the game which were already really good.
