    It can be tempting to look about at some time and to see that our once vision of "future" technology has never come about. We haven't got flying cars, and Mars hasn't yet been inhabited, and so on.... However, this way of thinking is also the product of the rapid accustomation with the technical developments we experience as regards several of those great concepts. Sometimes when you stop and actually think on a technology that has developed recently, it might almost appear magical.

    Certainly this is the case with some of the machines and procedures in the design and manufacturing of products developed in recent years. In fact, if you look at some of our current skills in these areas, it will undoubtedly feel as if "the future" has finally come.

    1. Printing in 3D
    A lot of people still see it in quite a limited sense, as great as 3D printing is. The majority of demonstrations and samples we saw as technology initially appeared centered upon little models, miniatures and the like, rather than one with jaw drops capabilities, in a sense it was all presented as a technology that was just for fun.

    At present, however, we are recognizing the huge (and expanding) capabilities of 3D printing in product creation. It can be used for the production of complete ranges of artistic products directly sold for consumers. It has been built behind fitness and accessories of a new style; in the recent past, a market for 3D-printed medical equipment has emerged, with more than 100 medical devices including 3D printing approved by the FDA since 2018. The number of prospective goods — some at consumer level, others at industry level – is almost unlimited at this moment.

    2. CNC processing
    Some people could genuinely confuse CNC with 3D printing, and they have similarities. Indeed, 3D printing processes may potentially have CNC machinery in the heart. However, the distinction is that CNC (numerical control computer) is mostly used to form existing materials in line with the coded instructions, whereas the result is manufactured by 3D printing.

    In addition, several different kinds of CNC machining are available for various applications. Fictiv points to 3- and 5-axis CNC milling and CNC turning, each having the ability to form hard material to exact specifications. It acts effectively as a tool, which keeps the material in a mechanism that spins it against a cutting tool.     It would have been only a few years ago that these technologies would have been futuristic. Even now, when they start revolutionizing design and production processes, when you actually think about them, they look almost miraculous.
